Cars With Vehicle Tracking

You may be surprised to hear that many cars on the road these days are fitted with vehicle tracking systems. The reasons people get tracking fitted to their cars varies. Many people with expensive cars such as top of the range Mercedes, BMWs, Range Rovers or Jaguars may be force into getting tracking as the insurance company will consider it compulsory if they are going to insure you. For this reason alone many tracking systems are sold every year.

Another chunk of the GPS vehicle tracking market is the fleet sector. Businesses are fast falling in love with vehicle tracking as they see it as a smart move. They see it as a way of reducing the costs to running their company cars, company vans and company trucks.

Some companies have done reports on the cost savings they have made and found that tracking has saved them hundreds of thousands every year. Obviously these are big companies with large fleets, but even smaller companies are reporting that they are seeing a very quick return on their investment and this is why commercial vehicle tracking is the biggest market in the telematics industry.

So when you see cars driving along the road it is increasingly likely that these cars will be tracked. Now even some diggers and tractors are being tracked using plant tracking systems. Although plant tracking is mostly in place to help recover the equipment in the event that it is stolen.
